(Pronounced Zoo-id, like “void.”), we're named after nature's collaborative wonders. A zooid, like the Portuguese Man-O-War (our mascot) is a specialized organism that contributes to a larger living system. Health knowledge works the same way, and no single discipline, dataset, or expert holds the whole picture. Real understanding emerges through collaboration across clinicians, researchers, educators, and communities. Zooid Life exists to strengthen those connections.
Zooid Life is a health communication and research practice focused on how knowledge is created, interpreted, and responsibly applied. We work at the intersection of health education, measurement, and ethical technology design — supporting institutions, educators, researchers, and community organizations.
Zooid Life is here for co-developing health technology that is adaptive rather than extractive; transparent rather than opaque; community-informed rather than purely top-down; grounded in sound measurement and pedagogy; designed to expand understanding not simply engagement.
Technology, in this view, is a tool for care, and the future we envision integrates clinical expertise, lived experience, and ethical systems design to support lifelong learning in health. For now, our focus is service, consultation, and collaboration.
